I am extremely grateful to Anne Lee for the kindness, patience and understanding she showed me during a very difficult time for my family. I was dealing with the death of my uncle, from Romania, and trying to understand the funeral arrangements and how we could eventually bring his ashes back home. Being so far away made everything much more difficult. I was in contact with several funeral directors while trying to find the best way to handle everything, but Anne stood out by far. She was much more helpful, understanding and compassionate than anyone else I spoke with. She took the time to listen, explain the options clearly and genuinely tried to find solutions that would work for our family. What meant the most to me was not simply the information she provided, but the care and compassion she showed throughout our conversations. At a time when I felt quite helpless, knowing that there was someone willing to help and answer my questions made a real difference. Unfortunately, because the funeral was ultimately arranged through the government-funded funeral program, I was not given the option to choose the funeral director, so I was unable to have Anne and her team handle my uncle's funeral. This was completely outside my control and had absolutely nothing to do with the service Anne provided. I would wholeheartedly recommend Anne Lee and her funeral home to anyone looking for someone who treats people with compassion, dignity and genuine respect. Having spoken with several funeral directors, I can honestly say that Anne stood out by far. Thank you, Anne, for everything you did for me. We couldn't have asked for better care than what Anne and Jodie at Eastern Suburbs Funerals gave my brother and me. Losing Mum was the hardest thing we've been through, and from the beginning they took the weight off us. Anne and Jodie were patient, kind and never made us feel rushed, no matter how many times we called with questions, they supported us the entire way. Every detail was handled quietly and beautifully, and on the day itself everything ran exactly as it should have, which meant we could just be present for Mum. What stood out most was that it never felt like a transaction. They treated Mum with genuine respect and they treated us like people, not clients. Thank you Anne and Jodie. Our family is so grateful. For us, they made the daunting experience of planning a funeral not only significantly less daunting, but actually enjoyable in many respects. They also have beautiful Tilly for emotional support. Anne and her team at Eastern Suburbs Funerals, were extremely professional, responsive and caring, in recently helping us through a very difficult time in our lives. Anne is so very person / family focussed, taking the time to get to know us, as we planned the funeral service for my husband. She responded to any questions we had, at any time of the day, and always replied to our emails, texts, phone calls, if we had additional queries. She guided us through this period with sensitivity and concern., even lightening our trauma with moments of humour, which we really apreciated. Everyone who attended the Funeral Service commented on how exceptional Anne was during the Service, so personal, articulate, compassionate and empathetic.
